Musicians and AI

In 2024, over 200 musicians signed an open letter warning about the unfair use of AI in music.

Artists including Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé and others raised concerns.

Their main worry was that AI could be used to copy voices, styles, lyrics, or performances without permission.

They argued that AI should not be used to replace human artists or profit from their work without consent.
