Activity: Using AI for Feedback

Last week, ms freeman asked her year 7 class: Are any of you using AI to do your homework? Nearly every student put there hand up, she was shocked by the result's. 'I new it,' she said. She had noticed that her students writing had gotten worse over the past few years and she was starting to wonder weather it was because of AI. It were a question that scientists and teachers all over the world was asking aswell. The truth is that AI tools like ChatGPT can be incredibley useful but researchers have founded that students who rely on them to much may actually be weakening there own thinking skills. Because AI is so easy to use.

A recint study found that students who writed their own essays had much stronger memory and problem-solving abilities than those who used AI, they didn't know nothing about how much damage they was doing to their own brains. 'Your brain is like a muscle,' one researcher said. 'If you dont exercise it you will lose it completley.' Most experts agree that AI is a powerfull tool, but only if students use it to help their thinking rather then replace it.
