Where are all the data centres?

According to datacentermap.com, as of June 2026:

• There are roughly about 11,500 data centres worldwide across 179 countries.
• The US has nearly 4,500 or almost 40% of the world's data centres.
• Europe has about 3,500 data centres.
• Australia has about 300 data centres. The majority are concentrated in NSW and Victoria.
