Cloud computing

Cloud computing means using powerful computers in data centres through the internet.

When you save a file to Google Drive, stream a video, or ask a chatbot a question, your laptop is often sending information to a data centre. The data centre does the hard work, stores the information, or sends back the result.

"The cloud" is not really floating in the sky. It is made of physical buildings filled with real computers with powerful computer chips.
