Ways to fact-check AI responses

Sometimes you will know that information in an AI response is true, based on what you know about a topic, but you may have to fact-check some responses to be sure. Some ways to fact-check AI responses:

  • Ask someone with expertise in the topic about the response.
  • Look for parts of images that do not make sense, such as people with six fingers or extra arms and legs.
  • In videos, look for weird things such as people with blurry faces or distorted body parts.
  • Check generated code or maths solutions yourself, and compare your result with the AI's answer.
  • Check the source of the information, especially if the AI provides links in its response.
  • Look up the information using another source you trust, such as checking distances between cities on Google Maps.
