AI can create realistic fake photos or videos of real people doing things that never happened. They're getting harder to spot and they are very easy to create.

Deepfake images are used to spread misinformation, damage reputations and run scams.

You've probably already seen one without knowing it. Your own photos could be used to create a deepfake without your consent.

Sometimes you can spot deepfake images by looking at odd skin texture, mismatched lighting or background glitches.
