Where does the training come in?

The model can only detect these connections between words like "bat" and "flew" because, during training, it saw millions of sentences and adjusted its number-lists so that words that often appear together ended up close to each other.

It doesn't really understand that bats fly, like we humans do.

It's not memorising single sentences; it's memorising relationships between words.
